The AI Recoder for Legacy Code

Privacy Policy

Modernize Agent AI ("we", "our") is an early-access product. This page describes how the public website and the Legacy Code Risk Scanner handle information today. It will be updated as the platform matures.

Public preview scanner

  • The Legacy Code Risk Scanner is read-only by design.
  • It does not execute pasted or uploaded code.
  • It does not store raw pasted source code or uploaded file contents on our servers.
  • Static heuristic analysis runs in your browser; only non-identifying preview metadata (estimated line count, language, risk indicators) may be recorded for aggregate quality tracking.
  • Possible secret-like values are reported only as redacted indicators (for example, "Possible secret-like value detected near line X") — raw values are never displayed or stored.
  • Please do not submit production secrets, credentials, or confidential intellectual property into the public preview scanner.

Forms and contact information

  • Information you submit through the Early Access, Contact, and Project-Level Scan Request forms is stored in our backend.
  • We use that information to respond to your inquiry, invite you to early access, and shape the modernization workflow.
  • Project-level scans may require additional review, scoping, and security controls before any code is shared.

Aggregate metrics and the Recoded Counter

  • Aggregate, non-identifying usage metrics may be used for the public Recoded Counter only when eligible (verified production usage).
  • Public counters do not display customer names, repository names, file names, source code, or private metadata.
  • Preview scans, demo runs, and internal tests do not increment public counters.

What we do not claim today

  • We do not claim SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, or PCI certification today.
  • Zero-data-retention infrastructure, private VPC deployment, and on-premise installation are planned future enterprise options, not current general-availability features.
  • The platform is designed around human-reviewed modernization workflows — outputs are reviewable, not guaranteed.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your information.
  • We do not publish customer names or logos without explicit consent.
  • The public Recoded Counter reflects only verified production usage — never demo or seed data.
